Top-Ten Things Picasa Sees Faces In

An exciting new feature in the latest version of Picasa is the ability to recognize faces in your photographs. This enables you to automatically tag every single photo in your database with the names of everyone in it.

Even better, after having been taught the identity of a couple of faces, Picasa learns their features and keeps recognizing these people in all other photo’s you have of them.

The feature’s not perfect though. For one, it recognizes every single face on your photo’s, even the ones you couldn’t care less about. Street crowds, strangers, pictures of people in paintings and on magazine covers, people you don’t actually want to recognize.

But Picasa goes one step further. It also recognizes just about everything that might conceivably be construed as a face by a nearsighted mole.
