The Prisoner Will Be Released

stm The great Robert Heinlein formulated five rules of speculative fiction writing:

  1. You must write.
  2. You must finish what you write.
  3. You must refrain from rewriting, except to editorial order.
  4. You must put the work on the market.
  5. You must keep the work on the market until it is sold.

By sticking to these rules, especially by sticking to rule #5 pig-headedly for four years and fourteen submissions, I finally managed to sell my short horror story Prisoner of war. It will appear in an upcoming issue of Space & Time Magazine sometime this year. Many thanks to fellow Villa Diodati members Rochita and Deanna for so effectively helping me break rule #3 in 2008.
