I’m Bohoooored…

So now you’ve submitted your story to the next market on your list, and you’re ready for their response.

Don’t be.

At this point, you’re better off forgetting about your submission altogether.* Because you’re in for the long haul. In fact, the best thing to do now would be to write (edit, revise, start on) something else entirely. If you’re going to wait for the response to this excitingly fresh and promising new submission first, you’re going to waste three months of writing time, on average.

So, knowing that you have three months. what are you going to do next?

* That is, except for registering it in your Duotrope.com or The Grinder submission tracker.
